Subtletanks91
I was at rite aid today and donated some more to a charity. And then go thinking. What if twice a year as a group we donated money to a sort or aquatic wildlife charity. If there is any specifically for inverts??? just another idea to get involved more with the conservation of aquatic wildlife and give back to the origins of where we got our aquatic inhabitants from. Another thing that could set us apart from everyone else.
Subtletanks91
So far I've found these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Fund_for_Animal_Welfare http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildlife_Conservation_Society http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wide_Fund_for_Nature http://www.mcsuk.org http://www.marineconservation.org.au I haven't been able to find any freshwater or invertebrate charity foundations. If anyone else has or knows please chime in.
Louie
I do not think that there are invert charities per-se but more like wild area conservations.
Soothing Shrimp
I wanted to use a tank to breed wild shrimp to be sure the endangered ones don't go extinct, but the rules and regs about endangered are redic. There's several cases where certain animals have only survived because of being kept in captivity. When animals are endangered, you'd think they'd allow breeders to have a crack at having them reproduce.
Subtletanks91
Yeah that's true. There are so many animals that could be bred and then re introduce to the wild. Govt policy are bogus
