ctaylor3737
Think the ez one is factory calibrated. Good to verify though. Sometimes they are inaccurate after awhile. -Chris

DETAquarium
I have a TDS Meter on my RODI system and I have the TDS-EZ Pen. I haven't had to calibrate the TDS-EZ Pen yet and it reads the same as my RODI TDS Meter. Great product IMO.

Soothing Shrimp
you need to up the TDS.
ctaylor3737
Yea that's what I was thinking. That's a little low for anything. -Chris
OMG Aquatics
Raise your TDS ASAP if you have shrimps in tank already. They WILL die after molting due to low TDS. I know this because I had them at 54-56 TDS and the amount of shrimp that molted were the amount that died.
countryboy12484
How do I safely go about that? Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk

countryboy12484
Ok ph 7.4 im using the api gh kh test kit... it took 3 drops each to make the color change im new to gh kh test and im not really sure how to read the conversion chart I think it reads dkh 3 and 53.7 ppm.... thanks for all the help by the way.... OMG Aquatics
kh doesn't really matter. You can buy something that raises gh to at least 6. After raising my gh from 1-3 to 6, there has been no more deaths after molting.
Soothing Shrimp
OKay, so each drop for gh or kh =1 So since it took 3 drops for gh, your dgh is 3. Pretty easy, right? What type of shrimp do you have? Diff params for diff shrimp.
countryboy12484
Fire reds Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Soothing Shrimp
Fire reds should have a param of 6+ gh, and kh doesn't seem to matter too much. 3 kh is fine for cherries.

Soothing Shrimp
I was sent fulval remin from a very good friend of mine. It's liquid, so it's nice that it works instantly. However if you have MTS (multiple tank syndrome) the cheaper way to go is SS gh+ or gh/kh. I have 3 jars of SS I use for wc. 8.5, gh+ (for cards) and gh/kh for neos. I could use gh+ for cards and neos and not have the extra jar, but I figured I'd splurge and experiment this year. ctaylor3737
