metageologist
Ok I know first off every one will say get a API test kit, but I have had them in the past and compared the API test strip results to the kit results and found them near indentical. So my question is if I have a KH of 80ppm and a GH of 60ppm what does this translate to in drops. I realy wish shrimp peramiters were based on ppm and not arbitrary drop counts. Also my pH is about 6.8 to 7.0 if that's of any intrest. I realy need to get a TDS meeter. Have a gniess day. -Scott ctaylor3737
Pika
Here's what API's instructions list: 17.9ppm = 1 dKH = 1 drop with the test kit I found this calculator... http://www.cactus2000.de/uk/unit/masswas.shtml (use German degrees - degrees Karbonatharte = "dKH", I believe) 60ppm spits out roughly 3.4 80ppm is 4.

Soothing Shrimp
Just use your computer calculator and 18 to divide your ppm and and you'll be fine.
