Docock
Can I breed blue neos with really small guppies in a 29 gallon heavy planted aquarium? They have been in the aquarium for three weeks, and no signs of eggs yet. There is a total of 15 shrimp, and 4 guppies. Thanks.
svetilda
There is a tank (about 10-15g) in a gym my kids take classes. I gave them 10 RCS in last July. They have some guppies, tetras, and some other small fish in there. No life plants but some ornaments and decorations. 2 small HOB filters. Everytime we're at the gym I see at least 5 adults and a lot of babies. I've never seen that fish attack the shrimp but some of the original shrimp were lost (I'm not sure were they eatten, got to the filters or just died). So, I think it's possible to keep them together but be prepare that fish are fish and shrimp are food for them. Your shrimp just need more time probably. Shrimp Life
Guppies are notorious pickers and If you really want to be sure to increase your population and to fully enjoy watching your shrimp colony I would not put them with guppies. Especially dangerous for vulnerable baby shrimp and moulting shrimp. Guppies are good at finding food!!!
chibikaie
I am pretty certain that my guppies learned how to hunt snails. They are not what I would recommend if breeding is a goal.
