Jomes
Hello all, great forum. I've been lurking here for a while and figured I should get around to actually introducing myself. I have several tanks of neos and have really gotten bitten by the shrimp bug! I'm a zookeeper by profession, and was even a public aquarist for about a decade, but deal mostly with reptiles and amphibians at work these days. Jomes
Hopefully this will work. This is my main 15 gallon Rili tank. I upgraded the lighting with a cheap 30 watt outdoor spot light for landscaping. Wygglz, svetilda, Louie and 4 others
Jomes
I'll throw in a work shot too. I've trained this Komodo to walk on a leash. His name is Budak. jem_xxiii, svetilda, Wygglz and 4 others
Wygglz
Pardon my "technical language" but what is the tall wiggledy grassy looking plant in the back? We have one and would like more but we don't know what it is.

Not nearly as difficult I'm sure, but I used to train birds of prey. Wonderful days... Jomes

Soothing Shrimp
Oh wow . Can they be trusted ''tamed'' ? As I tell my kids, wild animals can be trained, but still have wild instincts so you always have to be careful. Domesticated animals can be tamed. Sorry Jomes. heh Didn't mean to hijack. Jomes
I agree 100%. It's all about the individual animal too. This is the third Komodo I've worked with and by far the most relaxed. He seems to enjoy human interaction, or at least doesn't mind it, so I try to foster that positively. That said he's now over six foot long and still a wild animal capable of doing some damage.
