ctaylor3737
They will! If they were tiny they take about 2 months. Mine berried within a week lol. Had mine two months now, started with 15, now have 50 or so. Mine were from BM and a fire red So may have a BM hiding in there. They have awesome colors already but still early to tell I think. -Chris
Soothing Shrimp
Sometimes depends on the shrimp an environment, too. I had a cherry colony come in that took about a year to breed!

DETAquarium
What are your water parameters? I just recently setup a Taiwan Fire Red Shrimp colony with about 12 shrimp. I have 2 berried females currently, and already had one set of shrimplets prior to that.

Soothing Shrimp
Every once in a while a male is either sterile or doesn't do his "job." Can't hurt to add a few more.
countryboy12484
Im thinking that might be the case... all my females are saddled and have been for a long time... I find regular molts.... I dont know whats up... Derek
Soothing Shrimp
I hear ya. It gets frustrating selective breeding and that happens. ctaylor3737
ctaylor3737
Yea he may have a problem if there is only one male in the bunch. Have seen that before, he may not be mature enough. Wouldn't hurt to wait a bit and see what happens.
countryboy12484
I saw him flying around the tank a few days ago after a female had molted.. he actually "mounted" I guess you would call it, a female but it wasn't the one that had moulted... maybe hes just stupid lol Derek
Soothing Shrimp
Shrimp mate belly to belly, so if it wasn't that then it didn't mate.
