Kikojaharo
I bought some orange shrimp from a local hobbyist and in a few weeks, that tank has exploded with these little pests. the seem to be free-swimming unless they're feasting in the food dish or on a snail. Any one know what they are? are they harmful to my shrimp? How to get rid of them? I have a few berried girls and if this is a parasite, I want to try and rid them before the shrimpletts come. I've put a handful of baby (smaller than the shrimp) platys to try and reduce their numbers, but obviously I'll have to get them out once i have shrimpletts. sara-86
They sort of look like daphnia the little plankton you buy to feed your fish with. I have know idea if that's what they are but they look pretty similar. Sorry I can't help
sara-86
I think they are copepods (cyclops)
