crs broblem

Recommended Posts

Hi there...

I keep crs shrimp in two 30 liters tanks...

And i found 1-2 dead srhimps every day...

I loose a lot of shrimps before 1-1.5years, from dog spot for fleas.

In the past in the 30 liter tank there where a lot of population 300-400shrimps.

Its months now and i found every day 1-2 shrimps dead,

 Wate parameters is fine,

Use salty shrimp for minerals .

Akadama substrate

Low nitrate , 5-10

Temp in summer is 26c, in winter 22.( those death happens and in winter)

Kh 0

Gh 5-6

Ph 6.2-6.4

tds 128-130

I found not only adult shrimps but new ... also pregnant shrimps.

I think its bacteria infection, but in those tank i keep neos orange and yellows and with those i dont have any problem, only with crs

I have a lot of pregrant shrimp, but very low babies..

I try big water changes, try beta g, H2O2 , substrate clean.

Now i add leafs and alder cones.

Shrimp that going to die , its not moving, and if you try to move they cant swimm... or it goes and bed on substrate and try to swim.

Also saw a crs adult with only one eye, thats why i beliece for vacteria.

I cant see any parasites or anything else on shrimps..

Are the orange and yellow neos with the CRS? It seems like maybe you have a buffering issue with your substrate and actually have a higher pH than you think. Active substrates typically only last a year or two. Are you using strip, drop, or meters to test pH? Do you have another way to test your pH?

Yes they are with crs.

I dont think its from buffering, i measure ph with api, subtrate is not over a year...

I have a ph meter, probe is over a year ,and  not measure correct,  it read lower tham api...

I think  its bacteria problem, a snowwhite crs i saw brown in head after death.

I have babies in diferent ages, but almost every day   i found one dead, it not always an adult.
