Shrimp Life
Hi ALL! Up for grabs is a package of moss. (2 available) SOLD Here is what you will get- FISSIDENS FONTANUS (about half a golfbal- loose fissidensl) this is alot as you can tie it very very sparsely, it will grow in alot. ANCHOR MOSS (Golfball size) TAIWAN (Golfball size) Will include indian almond leaf and something else shrimp related! $20 plus shipping $3.50 USPS First Class. All of my moss is algae free but there is a chance for some baby snails. As for the fissidens, a little goes a very long way. ohmiko
can you give me tips on growing fissidens fontanus? All the ones I got from hans dont seem to grow or have beautiful coloration like yours
Shrimp Life
I honestly don't do anything special. I have been able to grow it with no effort - in both my tap water and ro water tanks. Then I just use about 2 watts of light per gallon. I tie them to mesh or wood and just leave it alone. No co2, no ferts, about 7 hours of light a day.(not too much light you need to avoid algae) I've sold alot of fissidens to many people here. The people who I have followed up with told me the moss is still alive and well. I'm not sure if anyone struggled with keeping my fissidens alive, I have yet to hear about it if so. Alot of the people who tried my fissidens buy more so I think its working for them. You can always try a small portion from me and let me know how it goes. My fissidens is grown in very undemanding conditions, so I don't think it will have a hard time adapting to any new water/tanks. The only thing I notice is that Fissidens does not like new setups. You need a cycled tank or you can experience the fissidens to turn brown. Thanks for your interest. I will have some more Fissidens available soon. I have loose fissidens, I also have some newly tied to stainless steel mesh (I like for it to grow out atleast 60% before selling it) and also some manzanita and fissidens coming soon. I also will have Weeping moss, and flame moss. Currently on Stainless steel. Everything is limited as I sell to local aquarium shops and well as many hobbyists, so if you have something in mind- just PM me and I can help you out. Thanks! ohmiko

Both share similar colors :-( maybe ill try some from you tied on wood when you have them available again :-) I'm so jealous how beautiful yours are!! Green with envy Shrimp Life

sarah
I also have dazelea's fissidens, and it's doing great in 2 tanks! Definitely happier (brighter green, fluffier) with more light, but does well in lower light too. ohmiko and Shrimp Life
