DETAquarium
I live in South Georgia so the majority of the year its quite hot, when it does actually get somewhat cold we would regulate the temperature in our house to about 68-72 degrees. I currently have heaters in both of my shrimp tanks currently but started thinking if there actually necessary as right now temperatures are in the 90's-100's, and our household temperature is set at 73-77.So my question is is there any benefit to keeping my heaters in my shrimp tanks at all? Obviously, I am thinking if we keep our house in the range of 68-77 year-round that the temperature of the water would be about the same. The water would never drastically reduce temperature in a few seconds causing shock of my shrimp as it would be just gradual changes over time.Thank you all for your help.DETAquarium
Soothing Shrimp
I wouldn't worry about it personally. Large volumes of water are going to hold ambient temperatures pretty darn well.

Subtletanks91
I take heaters out of all my tanks in the summer. Winter though I keep a heater in my shrimp tank at 70* and it holds stable.
