Sparrow
Hi Again! Would someone tell me how to prepare oak leaves for my shrimp tank? I got some clean oak leaves from a forest spot near me and was wondering what I should do to clean them? do you boil them? for how long? how many would you put in a 6.5 gallon Tank? thanks all! Forgot to ask, can I use maple leaves too? thanks!
Vpier
I would boil for 10-15min. How many leaves to put in really depends on the size of the leaves. Some oaks have more tannins than others, red oak for example have more tannins than white so that would be another factor to consider.
