Shaun Posted July 5, 2014 Report Share Posted July 5, 2014 What car is it?Sometimes you get lucky and the valves retract and as long as you do not try and start it again no additional damage sometimes however valves get bent and that is always an expensive fix.I am hoping for the former for your sake though. Shaun Posted July 5, 2014 Report Share Posted July 5, 2014 Don't crate motors is dirt cheap.But seriously though VW 8valve motors do not have that problem the valves retract as soon as the timing belt breaks the 16 and 20valve motors however is a whole different ball game alltogether.
