Elo500
I saw a picture if a leopard shrimp / armadillo shrimp for sale on an Indonesian shrimp site. It looks a bit like a tiger shrimp with spots instead of stripes. Anyone have any experience? Are they available in the states? Soothing Shrimp
At my place I have very little control of temperature, so someone will have to try them and see how sensitive they really are. They are relatively cheap at 4.50 ea.

Subtletanks91
Wtf are you guys talking about with low order and high order?!??!?
Puddles
Low order shrimp produce a larvae that does not resemble an adult shrimp. They can be either saltwater or freshwater and require special feeding. At some point (I'm not clear on this) they transform into their adult form. High order shrimp include neocaridina and caridina. Their offspring are just tiny versions of the adult shrimp and grow by molting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Subtletanks91
Does this mean high order shrimp are like the shrimp from the round table. And the low order shrimp are like the measly peasants cleaning the stable, lol that's what it makes me think of.
wicca32
low order are like amano and propinqua that have larval state that need brackish/salt water to live in first. high order are what most of us know and are mini adults when born
Soothing Shrimp
yepper. There are some freshwater low order as well, but very few. The time as larvae varies from 2 days on up.

Jayr_Tigley
And also to my knowledge, there seems to be a chinese variant and a vietnamese variant. According to another friend (who lives in hong kong) the dots in the vietnamesr variants are more oval than the chinese ones Louie
