Louie
I wanted to ask if anyone has kept star grass . From what I understand it can be tied to driftwood and it will grow without being planted ? Thanks
ctaylor3737
I have always planted mine, I would think that it would grow like that though never tried. Almost all plants will grow with just floating, many times I have plants that I forget to plant or just came up and floating around. Stargrass is one of them that always does good, have a 90g corner carpet of stargrass!
Louie
Thanks someone gave me some but I can't plant it as want to use it in bare bottom tank with driftwood . It is just floating now but going to lodge it between two pieces of driftwood and hope it thrives that way.

OVT
Most stem plants will grow without any substrate, with just a plant weight to keep them down. v1
