00camaro16
Speaking of invasive species... my wife tried suggesting I let my mountain minnows I had no idea what to do with go in the lake we live on. I had to explain to her why that's so bad. Chris Louie

Louie
Well as long as you gents aren't releasing 14 feet anacondas in lake Hopatcong , NJ
Subtletanks91
I would rather breed a group of snake heads pirahnas and pacu to real ease thwre
Louie
I mentioned the Anaconda as it was on news that there is one in that lake The pacus would die come winter as will this anaconda . Would think the snakeheads would also because NJ gets freezing.

Ch3fb0yrdee
Any Asians around here, specifically Vietnamese? These snails reminds me of those snails at the Vietnamese buffets. My parents bring their own fish sauce and just murder these snails. Yum! Louie
Louie
Country, but that cold ? They are thriving here a bit further north but we are talking about canals which stay in 70s at coldest during winter , would think NJ temps would kill them. countryboy12484
I think it was on the show river monsters that I saw a map and it was showing the areas of the us the could live in and im pritty sure it went that far north. I was honestly surprised myself, I think they are just a highly adaptable species Louie
Louie
I also watch River Monsters . One of my favorites was the episode on the giant snakeheads with their black/white markings and the bull sharks in the Amazon. I have seen small bull sharks in freshwater canals some distance from saltwater in Key west .

Louie
Well in Florida , Its a given that there could at min be large gators in a river . I wouldn't swim in them . The bull sharks I have seen in freshwater canals were small 2 feet . In theory all Bull sharks can stand fresh and I know that adults have been caught in the Amazon and African rivers but I have never heard of any of the older time fishermen ever say that they have seen adults in canals here only babies .
