Jayr_Tigley
Haha i 2 cbs that turns red from time to time. They kinda look like a bad red panda though
metageologist
Well that's just odd. Or you could market it as a chameleon CBS with affinity for red.
Jayr_Tigley
I'll wait first till it molts to see if it will revert back. My other one usually reverts back to black after molting
Soothing Shrimp
Curious about TDS.
Jayr_Tigley
Me too. Lol.. I dont test TDS, gh or kh only ph to keep things simple. How come nobody mentioned the berried shrimp on the back ground? Lol.. I went today to a friend of mine and picked up 3 black impacts grade s pbl for only $30. Very cheap and so far, no luck with finding low grade cbs with good black
Soothing Shrimp
Even more challenging is if you find a low grade with not so good black and breed it with a higher grade to increase density of black, often it just results in a higher grade. :-/
Jayr_Tigley
Wait, do you have a pic of the livestock you started with?
Soothing Shrimp
I was speaking from research. This is the first 5 crs I've had to start with for the super red breeding project, and man was it hard to source these! I can try to get some pics of these i you'd like, but I think you thought I was some generations down the line.
Jayr_Tigley
Yea i thought youre already at f2 or something. I would be so happy if you could post the pics of ur crs so i would have an idea how much black and white coverage i should start with
Soothing Shrimp
That's an easy answer. As much coverage as you can get! LOL I'll get some pics up later today.
JamesHe
Are you sure it is pure CBS? some CBSXCRS will have brown baby.
Jayr_Tigley
Im pretty sure its not a pure cbs lol.. and i know that a mix can have a brown baby. Anyways it has reverted to its original color after it molted
Soothing Shrimp
I don't think james meant prl, rather was it from a cbs/cbs.
Jayr_Tigley
Yea i quite understand what he meant. It probably came from a mix tank coz i just got them from a friend who quitted the hobby
Jayr_Tigley
Anyways, down they go to cull tank for cbs
